Welcome back Year 1!

Welcome back to Term 6, our final term this academic year! Where has the time gone! We hope you all had a wonderful and restful half term break. This will be a very busy and exciting term with our summer fayre, sports day and school trip!

We are very excited to be continuing with our ‘seaside’ topic this term, if you have any photos of your children enjoying time at the beach, please feel free to bring them in and we will add them to our display.

Do take a look at the curriculum overview to see what else the children will be learning about this term.

Please remember to provide your child with a water bottle daily and provide a named school yellow sun cap. Sun cream should be applied in the morning before coming to school.

The phonic screening test will commence during the week beginning the 8^th June. The children will do this individually, on any day during the week. The children have all been working extremely hard and we know they will do their best.

We appreciate all of the reading and phonics practise that you are doing at home with your children. Please ensure your child has their reading book and reading contact book in school every day so that we may have the opportunity to hear them read as well.

Homework Expectations

Reading Eggs – 15 mins per week.

Reading books – 3 times per week.

Mathletics - 2 games per week.
