St Bernadette's Class (Year 2)

Welcome!

Mission Statement

We promise to be peacemakers and to always trust in God. We will look after our school and our planet. We will try our hardest to be independent learners and we will treat our friends how we want to be treated.

 Welcome Back to Term 5!

Welcome back year 2,

I hope you all managed a relaxing half term and that you’ve returned to school feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to learn. I can’t believe we are now in the final term of year 2, it has been a fantastic year so far!

We have a busy 7 weeks ahead of us, with some exciting things planned! I’m incredibly excited for the Year 2 school trip to Wingham Wildlife Park in June; this is one of my favourite days of the school year.

Forest school will continue to be on a Friday and PE on a Thursday. Even on warm days, your child must have their arms and legs covered for Forest School.

Please ensure your child brings in a bottle of water every day, as the weather will start getting very warm soon (hopefully) and the children must stay hydrated.

Reading at home is ever so important and enables your child to make progress in all areas of their learning. Please ensure you hear your child read at least three times a week and record their reading in their reading journal.

I will continue to set homework on a Friday via Class Dojo. Please look out for any messages and updates which also get posted on Class Dojo.

Best wishes,

Mrs Edwards and Mrs Leigh
